Wedlog · Version 2026-07-28-v1
Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of the Wedlog mobile app, this website, invite links, and related support services. By creating a wedding, joining one, or otherwise using Wedlog, you agree to the version shown above and to the Content Rules.
These Terms are an operational draft prepared for the first public release. They do not limit any mandatory rights you have under Spanish or EU consumer law and should receive independent legal review before store publication.
1. Operator and contact
Wedlog is operated by Marc Widmer, a natural person in Spain. Contact: support@wedlog.app.
2. What the service provides
Wedlog is a wedding companion. A couple can create one wedding, receive an invite code, share essential details, collect RSVP responses, and send structured updates. Guests can join a wedding with its code and view the information made available to them.
The service uses an anonymous installation identity. There is no email-and-password account, public profile, public wedding directory, or guarantee that an installation identity can be recovered after app data is erased or a device is replaced.
Store badges on this website may be shown as unavailable until the corresponding app release is live.
3. Eligibility and authority
You must be legally able to accept these Terms. If you are under the age at which you can enter a binding agreement where you live, use Wedlog only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
If you create or edit a wedding, you confirm that you are authorized by the couple to publish its details and invite guests. If you submit another person’s name—including a companion or child—you confirm that you are authorized to provide it for attendance planning.
4. Invite codes and installation access
Treat an invite code as private event information. Anyone who receives a valid code may be able to view the active wedding’s shared details. Do not post it publicly unless the couple knowingly accepts that risk.
Editing rights are tied to specific app installations. The original creator installation becomes the owner. Additional editor access is granted separately. Do not attempt to use another person’s installation, bypass access controls, discover codes at scale, or interfere with the service.
5. Your content and permissions
“Your content” includes couple names, venue details, RSVP names, safety-report text, and information you submit to support. You retain any rights you have in that content.
You grant Wedlog a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce, and display your content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for limited backup, legal, or security retention.
You must not submit content that you do not have the right to use, that violates privacy or intellectual-property rights, or that breaches the Content Rules.
6. Google Places and third-party services
Venue search uses Google Places. By using that feature, you also agree to the applicable Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms and acknowledge Google’s Privacy Policy. Venue information can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate; verify critical travel and accessibility details independently.
Wedlog also relies on Firebase, Apple, Google Play, operating-system notification services, and email providers. Their own terms and availability apply to their services. Wedlog is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Wedlog for illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or privacy-invasive activity;
- impersonate another person or create a wedding without authority;
- publish spam, scams, malicious links, malware, or content that infringes another person’s rights;
- scrape, probe, reverse engineer, overload, disrupt, or circumvent Wedlog’s security, rate limits, invite codes, or access rules;
- use automated means to create weddings, resolve invite codes, search venues, submit reports, or send requests beyond normal personal use;
- misuse reports or support channels to harass others.
The Content Rules provide a shorter user-facing summary and form part of these Terms.
8. Moderation, suspension, and deletion
Wedlog may reject content automatically using a limited lexical filter. Users can report a wedding. The operator may review reports, restrict access, suspend a wedding while investigating, restore it, or permanently delete it when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people or the service, or comply with law.
Automated filters are imperfect and do not replace human judgment. If you believe a suspension is mistaken, contact support with the wedding ID. There is no guarantee that unlawful or dangerous content will remain available during review.
A wedding owner can permanently delete the wedding from the app. A guest can leave or locally block a wedding and can delete their own RSVP. Deletions cannot be undone once completed.
9. Service changes, availability, and price
Wedlog is currently offered without charge. Features, platform support, limits, or pricing may change. If a future change requires payment, the price and relevant terms will be shown before purchase.
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Wedlog may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued for maintenance, security, legal, technical, or product reasons. No service-level agreement or uninterrupted availability is promised. Mandatory statutory guarantees remain unaffected.
10. Important-event responsibility
Wedlog helps communicate wedding information, but it is not an emergency, ticketing, identity, travel, accessibility, catering, or safety service. Couples and guests remain responsible for verifying the date, time, location, transport, dietary arrangements, accessibility, and other important details through an appropriate direct channel.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.
To the extent permitted by law, Wedlog is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, loss caused by inaccurate user-provided wedding details, a lost invite code, third-party outages, or use outside the service’s intended personal wedding purpose. If you use Wedlog as a consumer, the legal protections of your country of residence continue to apply.
12. Intellectual property
Wedlog’s software, branding, logo, interface, and original site content belong to the operator or applicable licensors. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership or permit copying, resale, or commercial exploitation of the service.
13. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains what personal data is processed, why, how long it is kept, and how to exercise your rights. It forms part of the service information you should read before creating or using a wedding.
14. Changes to these Terms
The current version is published at this URL. Material changes will update the date and version and, where appropriate, require renewed acceptance or be communicated in the app. Changes do not apply retroactively in a way that removes accrued mandatory rights.
The acceptance identifier for this publication is 2026-07-28-v1.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove mandatory protections provided by the law of your habitual residence. Courts are determined by applicable procedural and consumer law; these Terms do not force consumers away from a court that the law makes competent.
Before bringing a dispute, contact support@wedlog.app so there is an opportunity to resolve it directly.
